Beaded Hairy Crab

Summary

The most common crab in this species found in the Bass Strait this small hairy crabs carapace features 3-12 tubercles on a curved ridge near anterolateral margin protruding through the hairs, in juveniles tubercles appear as low ridge buried in the velvety hairs

Habitat

In sponges, bryozoans, and algae, intertidal to a depth of around 70m

South-eastern Australia including Tasmania
